Greg,

I was wondering if Frank could employ a "gas bag" for the storage of his "Mond
gas" this type of storage was used during WW2 when gasoline was in short supply.
A motorist would have such a devise attached to the roof of his car, filling it
with "coal gas" which was no where near as good as NG or synthesized NG.
Today you can pick up an "inflatable queen size double bed" at the Goodwill
at a reasonable price. Constructing a means of filling your queen sized air bed
using an automotive emission control vane pump, doesn't sound too difficult.
The air bed, is of course storing a potential "fire ball" so the utmost care
is needed.
I am not aware of the casualty count of automotive mishaps regarding war time
mobile gas bag innovations.
If the enthusiastic gas collecting person wants to go a stage further by
compressing a portion of his collected low pressure gas, to say, into a large
"truck wheel/tire" fitted with an inner tube (most important) This collection
and holding device requires "all of the air"to be evacuated from it, before
re-inflation with an explosive gas, the pressure of which should not exceed the
normal working tire pressure.
The favored tire pumping device would be a modified refrigeration pump fitted
with pressure switches and filtration means, to insure the quality and pressure
of the gas does not cause damage to the tire.
There may be free hydrogen in the manufactured gas which will escape through
the walls of the inner tube and tire, so the tire should be stored in a
suitable place, possibly under water at the bottom of the garden away from the
furnace. The air bed, could of course be glued to the roof of the family SUV in
case of a third world war.

Greetings Frank, (and list members).
Frank, Sysgas is made ONLY with the use of bottled O2, if you are using
utside air to make gas then you are making "producer gas, or woodgas", and
ot Syngas.
ONLY Syngas can be bottled, producer or wood gas can NOT be bottled, as the
2 content is to great for the resultant gas amount bottled, or in other
ords, the cost of bottling all that useless N2, along with the woodgas, the
roduction cost outweighs the energy gained.
On the other hand, true "Syngas" is a VERY explosive product, and can be
ost effectively bottled, BUT, not at the home or end user level, due to the
ethods, and equipment costs (in excess of 300,000 for a small starter
ystem).

 Subject: Need your assistance

Hello, I would be very grateful for information on the following :
I am using a wood gasifier to create Syngas
The purpose of this gas is to fuel a burner for a boiler (not for any type
f motor)
I need a method to store this Syngas in a portable method
Does this gas need to be compressed or liquified
I need to know what type of container could be used
What will be the power/energy expected per "contained" Lb of gas
Will there be a loss of energy with storage time
Any information on this subject will be welcome....
  Best Regards, Frank
