I think that you will find that the actual use of small scale (10-35 kWe) gasifiers for remote power generation is about 5-6 hours per day. The most experience has been in India and South Asia with some in Latin America. There are a few larger systems (100-300 kWe), especially where there is low cost fuel and labor.
