Ken,
Your description is indirect heating. I don't think you have as much heat as
you think you have from a mass standpoint. Also, if your to gain the latent
heat, you will need to condense, and that brings corrosion issues.
But I understand the verticle cylinder, that's what I'm working on inside of
another vessel.
