Hallo Ben and list, of course, I am not from Israel, but if these bushfires are like those in Spain where maquia burns quite often, then there won't be much to collect! Everything exept for some specially big trunks goes up to the sky am I right ?
It is an extreme pity for that country. But there is hope! We had the same situation here (Balearic Islands ) 10 - 20 years ago and most of the vegetation is back! White pines (p.halepensis), which have to come back from seed, are between 10 - 20 cm. Strict laws, fences against wild goats and a few years of abundant rain made it possible. Rolf Am Montag, 6.
