added code to dynamically load some debug code that watches for EDT violations.
this should help us diagnose those weird AWT errors that occasionally happen.
to active the code you need to simply drop the Swing Helper debug.jar file into
the lib directory. You can get this from https://swinghelper.dev.java.net/ --
I've already used this to fix one EDT violation related to the locking of the
GUI during processing
