Ok. Ive review the stats. Ive thought about them.. and now Im going to tell you what I expect today:
First. a recap: http://www.allstatesugarbowl.org/superweek/pdf/fin alstats.pdf HAWAII GA FIRST DOWNS 20 19 NET YARDS RUSHING -5 159 NET YARDS PASSING 311 175 TOTAL OFFENSE YARDS 306 334 That was with June Jones.. and Colt Brennan. Now for what I am expecting today. with a defense with a year of experience. a new D-Coordinator. a lil more depth at certain d positions (and we had a lot more until The Year of the Torn ACL hit college football). and certainly arguably probably one of the best offenses (we hope) in all of college football. They are traveling half a world away. They will be playing basically at a time that would be 6am Hawaii time. and they are reportedly only bringing 66 ppl with them. HAWAII UF FIRST DOWNS 13 30 NET YARDS RUSHING 50* 250 NET YARDS PASSING 200 325 TOTAL OFFENSE YARDS 250 575 * - Id rather it be -10.. but Im tossing the UF D a bone that it's the first game and they gotta work out some kinks still. Yes. I know.. those stats against Ga was after UGAly had plenty of playing time. Was it fair to compare that game vs today? (shrugs) This game is about No Excuses and about showing these guys are living up to their reputation. and that they have really grown over the last year. I want this game to end with everyone feeling that the GATOR DEFENSE IS BACK and HUNGRIER THAN EVER. GOOOOOOOO GATORS!!!!!
