6 - Percy Harvin is said to be out for this game. Who will lead the Gators in
catches? Yards receiving? Tate Casey and Louis Murphy each had two catches and
Murphy's 51 yds receiving was the team high.

Least accurate answer - Oliver Barry - "Hernandez, on both counts" Aaron did
not play at all - he was either "nicked up", "not ready to play", suspended, or
all three...

Hey, at least I excelled at something!!! :-)

Subject: [gatortalk] Answers: Gators vs Rainbow Warriors

1 - Who will score the Gator's first TD? Brandon James.

Best "yes, but" answer: Stacey and mrgatorman both had the right guy, but went
too far by specifying that it would be a special teams score.

2 - Will the Gators get a defensive score? Yes - two of them in fact, Major
Wright and Ahmad Black, the starting safeties, each had a pick-six.

Best "nailed it" answer - Stacey - "2 INTS for 2TDs"

Best "still correct" answer - Bill Hileman - "at least one"

Best answer - mrgatorman - "Yes, the defense will score more than the Hawaii
offense"

3 - Will Brandon James return a punt, a kickoff, or both for a TD? He had an
electrifying 74 yd punt return to go along with his first ever rushing TD.

Best "absolutely right" answers - Oliver Barry - "It'll be a punt" and Zeb -
"Punt"

4 - Who will sing the national anthem before the game? A whole bunch of folks
most likely, but since I didn't get to go, I don't know who the featured
singer, if there was one, was.

Best "that's how I'd have answered it answer" - Ken Kirkley - "I will. Good
thing I am 1500 miles away though."

Best answer - Stacey - "In a tribute to our Gator Olympians, the imperfect
looking Chinese girl who wasn't allowed to be seen but was heard during the
opening ceremony of the Olympics."

5 - At what point in the game will Tim Tebow take his last snap from center for
the day? With around 3 or 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, before giving way
to our "running QB", Cam Newton.

Best answer - Bill Hileman "Midway through the third quarter"

6 - Percy Harvin is said to be out for this game. Who will lead the Gators in
catches? Yards receiving? Tate Casey and Louis Murphy each had two catches and
Murphy's 51 yds receiving was the team high.

Least accurate answer - Oliver Barry - "Hernandez, on both counts" Aaron did
not play at all - he was either "nicked up", "not ready to play", suspended, or
all three...

Best "who else?" answer - Ken Kirkley, Stacey, Bill Hileman, and Zeb all said
"Murphy"

7 - Brandon Spikes is also rumored to be out - who will be the Gators' leading
tackler? Ahmad Black and Joe Haden each had 5 tackles, and Brandon Hicks had 4
solo stops.

Most Popular Answer - Dustin Doe, by Stacey, and Zeb.

Most likely correct answer - Oliver Barry - "Jay Cicone will tackle a whole
pitcher of Margaritas!!"

Best "Maybe if you'd have said DB answer" - Ken Kirkley "The DE whose name I
can't remember".

8 - Urban Meyer has asked for the fans to wear white as a part of a "White Out
For Cancer" promotion. Will the home team wear white jerseys as well? No -
they wore the traditional blue. The stands did look like a sea of white shirts
though!

Best "except for the first quarter" answer - Stacey - "No, but the whole team's
pants will stay gleaming white for the entire game"

9 - Hawaii has had a prolific passing offense. Florida has said they'd like to
get a lot more production from their running backs this year. How many passes
will each team complete?

UF - 10, UH - 21

Best "if they switched jerseys"answer - mrgatorman "HI - 14, UF - 28"

10 - Where will the "Work 'Em Silly Gators" banner be hung?
Same as it ever was...

Most accurate answer - mrgatorman "In its usual spot"

GatorTalk answer - In the ladies restroom, with or without Oliver in attendance!

11 - Who will have the most rushing attempts for the Gators?
Tim Tebow, with only 9.

Most popular wrong answer - "Moody". He hurt his ankle very early on, and only
carried twice. I think Rainey and Demps more than took up the slack for him...

12 - How many QBs will the Gators use in this game?
All of Tebow, Newton, and Brantley played.

Best "do we even have that many?" answer - Ken Kirkley - "4"

Best "yep" answers - Bill Hileman, Zeb, and mrgatorman all said three in some
fashion or the other.

13 - What will the official souvenir cups sold in the Swamp feature this year?
Don't know - maybe someone that was at the game can tell us/me...

Best "Gators Traditions" answers - Ken Kirkley and mrgatorman - "Mixers" and
"Rum and Cokes" respectively.

Best tribute to the original answers guy, stats man, and avid Gator sports
museum advocate answer - Zeb - "Jennifer Anniston"

Best "don't ever change" answer - Oliver Barry - "A Gator chowing down on an
evil dog."

14 - Will Ryan Lochte and/or Dara Torres be at the game and honored at
halftime? I thought I'd read that Dara had ankle or foot surgery, so I don't
know if she or them were so honored on Saturday, but if not, it's a good bet
that they will be sometime this season.

15 - The Gators have a new kicker, freshman Caleb Sturgis, who has a cannon for
a leg. Kickoffs are now from the 30 yard line. How many Sturgis kickoffs will
end up as touchbacks? Unbelievably, zero - out of nine kickoffs! Conversely,
all three of the Rainbow Warriors' kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.

Best "I was fooled like everyone else, but at least I get partial credit for
showing my work" answer - Oliver Barry - "There will be 9 kickoffs. (it’s
going to be a long day for the ‘Bows) 8 will be for touchbacks."

GO GATORS!!!
