But we don't want Bowden to retire. I like Jimbo Fisher running the
offense. I like Bobby being in charge. Let's offer to contribute to the
school if they keep him!! (A token amount, of course)

why doesn't someone at FSU have the guts to just tell Bowden to retire?

Are the inmates running the asylum?

Fifteen, or is it twenty (or more) years too late.

Last year, when the F$U cheating scandal (those three words seems so
redundant together) broke, a friend of mine asked my opinion.

I told him that far worse had gone on at F$U for years, and the NCAA had
ignored it. I also speculated (conspiracy theories anyone?) that the F$U
brass had gotten so sick of Bowden holding on and dragging them down, that
someone on the inside had "dropped a dime" (yes, that really dates me) on
the program in order to try to move him out. It was just after they had
signed "Jimbo" as the heir apparent.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Go Gators!!!!

I don't know if you have been following this developing story. According
to a
well placed Gator that broke this on a internet message board and now
newspapers are now looking into, the NCAA has sent FSU a Notice of
Allegations
(NOA). In this NOA, FSU is being charged with Lack of Institutional
Control.
First FSU officials denied a NOA existed and now they are saying it
exists but
will not release the document. FSU is trying to craft a response to the
NCAA
before letting it out in the public. This Gator is now stating that
certain FSU
boosters are being allowed to review the document to ease the sting. FSU
officials have been hinting that they might voluntarily give up up to 10
scholarships a year for 2-3 years only because their initial offer to
the NCAA
was rejected.
Basically the so called "rogue" tutor named names to the NCAA. This
tutor did
not allow FSU officials to sit in the second NCAA interview.
