He may feel he's sticking up for the "ole ball coach", I dunno, but I agree. It's disappointing to hear a gator ever criticize anything in our football program.
Randy Polyanna -------------- Original message -------------- From: Steve McKibben <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Shane was always one of my favorite Gators, but it pains me to see him publically taking shots at our coaching staff the way he does. Sure, he has every right to express his opinion, but I think he could find a way to air his constructive criticism without being as venemous as he often sounds. Understandably, he is, and always will be a Spurrier guy, but there are a lot of folks that still love SOS but don't disparage the Gators. --- On Wed, 10/8/08, Zebulon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: Zebulon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [gatortalk] Re: [gatornews] [SUN]: Come Back, Shane Matthews (Andreu) To: [email protected] Date: Wednesday, October 8, 2008, 4:01 PM On Oct 8, 2008, at 8:12 AM, Shane Ford wrote: As for the Tebow statement, I just don't get it. I know, his mechanics can be unorthodox at times, but the threw for 3,286 yards and 32 touchdowns last season. AND HE WON THE HEISMAN! Is there some jealousy at play here, Shane? Let's see, a quick check of the record book reveals this, Shane: Tebow's passing numbers from last year were better than your best season at Florida . IIRC, bowl stats counted last year and did not back in Shane's era. Assuming that Shane played in an SEC Championship during his best season, the regular season 12th game in 2007 and the SEC Championship game would balance each other out. Anyone have access to Shane's passing #s and what they would have been with a bowl game thrown in? -Zeb --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
