This guy is just plain nuts! First he says that Saban was the first, and that
Spurrier hopes to become the second, etc. (As we all know, Spurrier was the
first in 2005). Then, this guy even mentions the 2005 win two paragraphs later!
Does he not proofread his own stuff? Do they not have ANY proofreaders at Fox?

Where is Helen when you need her? ;-)

Spurrier has chance to ruin Florida's title shot

One of the least-known facts coming out of last week was that Nick Saban
became the first coach in major college history to beat a team he had
previously led to a national championship.
This week, Steve Spurrier hopes to become the second.

  ------------------------------snip, snip, snip-----------------------------

It has been in the past. The first and last time Spurrier went to The Swamp
sporting another school's colors, South Carolina came within a last-minute
blocked field goal of ruining Florida's national championship season. The
Gators won that one 17-16 and went on to beat Ohio State in the BSC title game.
The year before, in Spurrier's first season with the Gamecocks, they beat
Florida for the first time since joining the SEC.
