I just watched the ball game this evening and I have several reactions I wish to share:
1. My pre-season optimism is now burst. Somehow I wanted our five new freshmen to be ready for prime time. Their recruiting hype was great but they still played like freshmen. 2. I think we will miss Jai until at least mid-season. Nick did better tonight bringing the ball up, but I am still not convinced that he can handle a tough press. 3. I hope Vargas heals quickly. We don't seem to have a center. We have some decent depth at forward, but if we can't pound it in the paint, it may be a long disappointing season. 4. I wish we had next year's class joining the team in January. We could use those three. 5. Warner played well. He is improved over last year. I am thankful for the win, however. This team is deeper than last years. I don't want to be too negative and it could have been the first TV jitters. What was all of your impressions?
