I am concerned by the number of coaches that want to vote Texas ahead of Oklahoma. If Oklahoma wins out impressively, and we beat Bama, OK will be #1 or #2. Its coattails could well pull up Texas as well; a lot of people want to put Texas over Oklahoma due to the head to head match-up. The computers favor Texas over UF (due to the insane requirement that margin of victory - or loss - must be irrelevant). There is an argument that loss to an unranked team at home (UF) is worse than a road loss (Southern Cal) or a neutral site loss to a ranked team (Oklahoma). So, I have not ruled out a scenario where - if we win out - we are #1 or #2 in the AP yet #3 in the BCS behind OK and UT. It has happened before; Southern Cal has been #1 and boxed out of the Championship game. So - I'm rooting for OK State this weekend. -Zeb <BR --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
