Statistically they are #7 in the country, but I believe that if you look at the national rankings of the offenses they've faced, you'll see that the lofty ranking may be a bit of fool's gold. The highest ranked offenses they've faced are in the 50s and they've had some trouble with them. We're coming into this game ranked #18 on offense, and on a roll. Sure - it's a rivalry game and in those anything can happen, but if we just settle down and play our game, don't give them short fields or der\fensive scores, they shouldn't be able to stay on the field with us. --- On Tue, 11/25/08, NZ Gator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: NZ Gator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [gatortalk] Re: [gatornews] [SUN]: Notebook: Meyer veteran of UF-Florida State rivalry (Aschoff) To: [email protected] Date: Tuesday, November 25, 2008, 10:34 PM FSU isn't a mediocre defense; it is the #7 defense in the country. (The teamis mediocre overall, but that's because of a poor offense.) Anyway, mypointis that this team could beat us if our team, like you, isn't worried atall. If they take FSU seriously, and I think they will, then we'll do to them aswe've already done to the other highly-ranked defenses we've played. But Idon't take anything for granted in this sport and so I'll continue tobenervous until the game gets underway.
