Hello Alumni and Friends,
Comfy? At work? At home? In your slippers and robe? With the kids?
On your
phone in a coffee shop? Wherever you are, we welcome you to the new
UF
alumni magazine Web sites .
Our intentions are simple: give you a taste of the printed
publications
with a little flavor. This includes visitor submissions, additional
pictures, audio interviews, slideshows and videos. We've set high
goals:
update often; fresh and readable content; dynamic and interesting
photos;
worth-reading interviews; fun, major fun.
Check out our new digs where you can see, hear and meet other
Gators.
Be sure to check us out in March for our online-exclusive issue.
Go Gators!
Go ahead, and take a peek.

Gators Everywhere
The top of Mount Kilimanjaro. The ruins at Machu Picchu. The Great
Wall of
China. It's amazing the places where Gators run into fellow Gators.
Where
is the oddest place you've heard "Go, Gators!" ring out from the
crowds?
Submit your stories
and photographs online, then come back often to see what your
fellow
Gators have shared.
Chomp on This
As the annual brigades of grill-toting tail-Gators have started
lining
parking lots on football game days, we've been inspired: Why not tap
into
the culinary cleverness of The Gator Nation and have a little fall
fun of
our own? Submit your stories
your
favorite recipe.
The Freshman Experience Game Board
Congratulations! You've been accepted to attend the University of
Florida.
Your grades may be high enough, but do you have the mettle to
survive your
freshman year among 50,000 other students? Using a single die and
coins as
game pieces, see how well you fare in your first year as a Gator.
Download
the game board.
Off the Top of Her Head
Artist Maggie Taylor (MFA '87) takes photographs and plays with
them,
colors them and manipulates them to create new worlds. Her latest
collection, "Almost Alice," drops viewers through a rabbit hole of
imagery
that is at once familiar and alien.
See
what lies on the other side of the mirror and inspired Taylor's
work. You
just might be surprised. Her work, on display at the Samuel P. Harn
Museum of Art until Oct. 19, illustrates a new edition of Lewis
Carroll's
"Alice's Adventures in Wonderland".
UFAA welcomes new director
Meet the new UFAA director, Lee Patouillet.
Persuaded by an immense affinity for UF, a dedicated staff and an
interest in helping strengthen and grow the alumni association,
Patouillet
took office Sept. 1. He believes his experience in both alumni
affairs and
Florida will help him mobilize the resources of The Gator Nation.
