It appears that I have cause quite a stir in Gator Land...Yes, I am a Sooner, born and raised in the land of wheat, oil wells and football. I make no apology for my heritage and I wear it proudly as all native Oklahomans do.
In just a few days two teams who have earned the right to play for the National Championship will meet to decide who is the better team. Unlike what appears to be an abyss of Gator euphoria we Sooners know that it is just a game. It is played and the better team wins. Yes, we will like you yell and scream for our team and against yours, but in the end it is still a game. Neither you nor I can do anything about the outcome. Our job is to support our team. Now I appreciate the opportunity to have joined in your group for some light hearted bantering but now is the time to stop chastising my friend for asking me to join your group. I would hope that if you had joined my Sooner group you would not have been so brazenly castigated by the other Sooner faithful. Now lighten up all of you Gator faithful and get a life...because after January 8th you will only be able to wish for what may have been, could have been.
