What happens after it crosses the line is irrelevant.

Even if it were in the field of play, the elbow hitting the ground  
while the ball is in the hand ends the play.

What happens when the hand hits the ground after the rest of the body  
is down is doubly irrelevant.

Not sure why the innuendo that it may not have been a valid score,  
without pointing out what the replays demonstrated.
