Oh, I can see where that would be confusing.

I have my doubts about all of this as well. I don't know Carl Johnson from
Oliver Barry, but his "alleged" comments that the ex-girlfriend is saying that
he said sound waaaaaay to made up. The whole comment about his goal in life to
shoot some one.... Then, his comment on going upstairs to get a gun to do some
thing worth while or whatever.... Come on! ...that almost sounds too absurd
to be true. Time will tell....

Remember that he is being accused, but has not been charged - nor has the girl
even pressed charges on the alleged date rapes.

The hearing is a civil matter on whether or not to continue a restraining order
she had taken out on him.

I'd say typical spin from a poodle paper, but our local rag has been almost as
sensational, and just as misleading with their headlines.

Florida lineman facing accusation of multiple date rapes
By Staff Reports
Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Tuesday, February 24, 2009
Florida offensive lineman Carl Johnson is facing an allegation of multiple
date-rapes.
Johnson, a 6-7, 350-pound rising junior who is expected to start at tackle, was
arrested Feb. 16 for violating a temporary restraining order filed by an
ex-girlfriend, who claims Johnson date-raped her three times from September to
November.
On Tuesday, Johnson had his hearing pushed back to April 7, at the request of
his attorney.
The Orlando Sentinel, citing court documents, reported that the ex-girlfriend
claimed to have experienced "regular" physical and emotional abuse, including
shaking, biting and hitting, during her relationship with Johnson.
The petition also states Johnson said that a goal in life was "to shoot and
kill someone."
After being informed of the accusations, Johnson told the ex-girlfriend that he
had plans to "go upstairs and get his gun." When she told him he could go to
jail, he said "I don't care, at least it would be for something good."
Florida coach Urban Meyer has not commented publicly on the case.
