I had posted this on FaceBook but Leon suggested I post it here, too, since many of you are not on FaceBook. We're thrilled with this, as you might imagine. The roof is now 1/2 done. The core volunteers (about five) from the Rotary Club are taking this weekend off after working four straight Saturdays, and will resume the next weekend. Should only take 2-3 more Saturdays to be completely done. We're also very optimistic after having an energy audit done that we may get new windows (double-paned), new doors, and possibly even our heat/air fixed (also been broke about as long as the roof has leaked) or perhaps some combination of the above. Our family can't thank Rebuilding Together, the Rotary Club, and Sears/K-Mart enough. I'm a bit embarrassed though, to be qualifying for much of it through the "Heroes at Home" program that Sears has, since while I did serve in the Air Force, and I am disabled, I served during peacetime. The real heroes to us are the volunteers and sponsors.
