I don't really think that any kids in Pahokee would miss out on a full-ride
or any other kind of scholarship because they don't want Tennessee
recruiting them. If a kid is good enough to play college football he'll get
multiple offers.

How much would it cost to place these quotes on billboards in Pahokee? I
understand that the opportunity for someone from Pahokee to get a full-ride
scholarship is not something that should be taken away. However, I do think
that the leaders in Pahokee, especially the football coach, should be
counseling these young men on character.

What Kiffen said shows a lack of class and character, do you really want
your son playing for him?

It would be nice to have a reminder up all year round, of course it could be
updated with the score of one particular game in September.

What was wild to me is that UT and Knoxville epitomize Southern rural poor.
I've had family and friends graduate from Vanderbilt, they tell UT stories
like it was one step above Boudreau's School of Auto Mechanics and Catfish
Frying. Heck, its fight song is about a moonshine still.

For UT to pull rank and accuse another Southern town of being poor and
incestuous would be irony of the highest order, if it weren't for the fact
that the residents of Pahokee are predominately black and the Appalachian
rural residents predominately white. Instead it plays like a racial insult.

After what he said about them - I can't believe the town and school let him
off so easy ...

In today's day and age - I can't believe that the town and school did not
sue the University of Tennesse for "hate crimes", discrimination, or some
other such thing.
