Who ever thought of this "master plan" - to act like idiot - is an idiot. 

 

This "master plan" is so stupid - it sounds like something Jethro of the Beverly Hillbillies would dream up.  Then again, we are talking about Tenn.  Weren't the Beverly Hillbillies from Tenn?

 

Let's see - "out shooting for some food, up from the ground comes some bubling crude.  Tenn alumni said - Jed you got to get on out of here, so we loaded up the pinto and we moved to Beverly.  "

Southeastern Conference commissioner Mike Slive didn't use notes and didn't know how long he spoke. His message to his football coaches and athletic directors Wednesday couldn't be clearer: Stop the public verbal sparring of the past few months. Now.

"I had all 5-9, 170 pounds of me into every word I said," Slive said.

Slive hasn't been happy about the string of public exchanges over the past few months, almost all involving new Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin.
