Lord knows I've been wrong a number of times before, but I believe that I'd
recently read that a school can only use the higher of their indoor/outdoor
track rankings for their all-sports trophy calculations.

I've always wondered about this (nothing against our Razorback brethren), but
why two separate NCs for what is essentially the same sport; Indoor and Outdoor
Track?
Do the vents differ, or is the sole difference the venue? If so, why not two
championships for football, one for domes and one for open air fields? Indoor
and outdoor basketball?
I suspect this dichotomy has something to do with how Stanford always edges UF
out in the All-Sports trophy.
