The University of Florida hockey team will open the upcoming season with two away games against the University of Tennessee on September 25th and 26th, 2009. The Gators have their home opener on October 2nd against the University of South Florida Ice Bulls at Jacksonville Ice at 7:30pm. All home games will have a $5 door charge for admission; students and children will get in free. Next season the Gators will host FSU, USF, Embry Riddle, Georgia, and UNF (in their first season). The Gators will travel to Tennesee, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida Atlantic, Embry Riddle and USF. In addition, the SEHC will be hosted by the University of Alabama in Pelham, AL, on the weekend of February 26th to 28th, 2010. Notable games are against UGA on October 30th in Jacksonville, the night before the teams face off in footbalI, and the Savannah Hockey Classic in Savannah, GA.
