There have been numerous In & Out locations throughout G'ville over the years.
The oldest one I recall was way east off Hawthorne Rd. There was at one time
another one near downtown (probably the 2nd Ave and Main location Mary
mentions). There was one on Archer Rd in the late 70s and early 80s, and there
was one very near campus on NW 13th St in the late 80s when I was back there in
school. I don't think that one was as far north as NW 16th Ave, though... more
like NW 5th Ave. My daughter and I used to go there fairly frequently for
grilled cheese sandwiches and milk shakes. ;-)

I know there were two In & Out locations in Gainesville, and I think there
was a third on Archer Rd. The other two locations were off 2nd Avenue towards
Main Street and near NW 13th St. and NW 16th Ave. I'm guessing on the exact
locations, although I sure can picture the drive-thrus. I also spent many
hours at the Old College Inn, when there were pinball machines.

This has been a fun discussion!

(where I lived in 77-78) Maybe it was a similar type of joint.

Still a bit warm during the days out here in Central TX. #54 in a row over
100°F
