I've got a friend with a problem. His child is at UF, lives far off campus (too far to easily bicycle), and can almost never find campus parking.
The solution that many students are turning to is a scooter, as parking is far easier. I think that Tebow is even running around town on one. While I can see a scooter for zipping around campus, it's another matter navigating the traffic on 6 lane highways. My friend is afraid for his child's safety and wants to get rid of the scooter, putting matters back where they were. Is there a private parking lot anywhere near campus where one could lease a reserved space? Didn't there used to be one behind the Porpoise? The price would not be a problem.
