What is scarey - is each year the incoming freshmen are better than the guys that we won a national championship with!

Rumor is - Will Hill will start in place of Ahmad Black
Janoris Jenkins took the starting job from an earlier starter
Dubose could have taken a WR spot
Rumors that Bostic is our best LB - but its hard to replace a senior starter with a true freshman
Omar Hunter was suppose to start at DT - but was injured

We are getting incredibly deep with talent.  Our second team could probably be top 20.

Dwyer's Gerald Christian a Florida Gators' commitment, raising some eyebrows

At the Disney Gridiron Kings this summer, there was one player who stood out as a man among boys.

Sure, everyone knew Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer tight end Gerald Christian could play. The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder does a lot for Dwyer besides block and catch passes. He roams the defensive side as a linebacker and creates a lot of problems across the middle for opposing offenses.

He has flown under the radar a bit, but much of that has been due to his position being changed on recruiting boards. Christian had been pegged as a defensive end since his junior season, but early this summer he was switched to a likely college tight end, and so he even dropped off the Rivals.com Top 100.

But as he started showing up at camps, catching balls like a grizzly catching salmon, people started taking notice of the big guy with the soft hands. He catches balls considered out of reach, he catches balls in traffic and isn't afraid to go between defenders. He's also got great speed for a big target.

And so he began climbing back up the rankings. He was at No. 110 on the Rivals after-camps list and then made the biggest jump of any player on Tuesday's Rivals Top 100 update. Christian is now the 51st-ranked player in the country. And he will likely move higher again. He's that good.

After his performance at the Gridiron Kings he was named the 7-on-7 tournament's offensive MVP, scoring five touchdowns on the weekend.

Of course, all of this likely comes as no surprise to Urban Meyer, who got the commitment from Christian April 20th.

Dwyer opens the season tonight against Belle Glade Glades Central, as high school football teams across Florida hit the gridiron.
