No more sharing When Meyer started his head coaching career at Bowling Green in 2001, he and his staff were in the business of going out and getting advice from other schools. Meyer said he even “plagiarized” Northwestern’s exact offense one year. Now, Meyer said those days are over and that he looks internally more for answers. “It’s to the point now where we kind of lock the doors,” Meyer said. “There’s not a whole lot of group hugs and conversations. People don’t want to share with us and we’re not real excited about sharing anything.” Even though Florida’s new up-tempo part of its offense resembles Oklahoma’s from last year, Meyer said he hasn’t really contacted OU’s staff. “Oklahoma’s got its own little niche right now,” he said. “They’re not real excited to giving it to Florida and we’re not really asking.” Who would have thought?
