I remember him doing that one time - in the middle of Wuerffel's senior season when we played Northern Illinois or some other directional school, so that Eric Kresser could play. I don't recall Kresser ever being inserted into an SEC game - especially on the road, any earlier than the fourth quarter, and I seem to recall some scorelines from that era that make Saturday's 31-7 look downright close.
