Remember when it was the Orlando Sentinel and Larry Guest (Pest) we were trashing on Gatortalk? Now it's the Herald. The Sentinel is still pretty bad as far as covering Gators is concerned, but they're better than the Herald.

What a GREAT insult phrase that we can use in the future. And....I am not suggesting Scot insulted here...OK? I am just saying it is a great phrase for us to use!! :-))))) On Wed, Sep 30, 2009 at 12:01 PM, Scott Lucas <[email protected]> wrote: Do you work for the Miami Herald? I have not seen that he has been vomitting or been disoriented since he left the field... Headache, yeah... I have one now too but I didn't get it from playing football. And there are cognitive and physical tests they can put him through to measure his abilities. Some of the articles have mentioned them. Balance on a half sphere is one that can easily show his orientation. I would wager that a prolific athlete like TT would be able to do that with no problem at all, but if he had an issue with a concussion and balance, it would certainly show up. He also could not fake that... This is but one example of the kinds of real, physical and mental tests they can put him through that he can't just say "i'm fine"... --- On Wed, 9/30/09, John Vega <[email protected]> wrote: From: John Vega <[email protected]> Subject: [gatortalk] Re: Would you play Tebow at LSU or make him rest? They don't consult with sportswriters or Monday morning quarterbacks. That's why they're in the position they're in. You have more faith in the UF physicians than me. Their paychecks are still signed by UF, not the players or their parents. I'm not implying that they should consult with sportswriters or fans. Ask a few neurologists if their son was playing high school football and had at least a grade 2 concussion, disorientation, vomiting and persistent headaches for three days afterwards, how long would they hold their son out of contact. I would wager that your answers will range from 4 to 6 weeks. -Zeb --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
