I think that it was an incredible spectacular show put on by our entire defense - but this award is for an individual. Since Spikes is the leader of our defense and he did have a good game .... the award goes to spikes.
I think it should be shared with the corners (jenkins and haden), stamper, etc. Cunningham finally got noticed, Dunlap did well. can't tell about the DTs.
Incredible game by the defense as a whole.
I would believe that our defense is #1 in the nation.
Offense has played at times this year like the #1 offense in the nation and special teams have played at times this year like the #1 special teams - but not in the LSU game. 1st quarter at Kentucky - yes.

The Southeastern Conference honored him for it on Monday morning.Spikes was credited with a team-high 11 total tackles (4 solos) and career-best 2.5 sacks (for losses of 14 yards) and a fumble recovery in Florida’s 13-3 win at then-No. 4 LSU.Spikes' is the loudest voice for the Gator defense that held the Tigers to 162 total offensive yards, with just 66 on the ground. Florida’s defense recorded six tackles for losses in the game, including five sacks.Florida held its opponent under 100 yards rushing for the fourth time in five games this season.The Gator defense also collected an interception for the 17th-straight game, the nation’s longest streak.
