Paula and I arrived in Columbus, MS this morning. It is 26 miles east of Starkville and the site of Lake Loundes State Park. It is our base camp for this Gator trip to MSU.
We ate lunch today at a 'Lil Dooey' BBQ and catfish restaurant. Not the original in a former childcare center across from a cemetary in Starkville, but one in East Columbus. Same good good and casual service. About half the patrons were Gators. As a matter of fact, a good percentage of the population of Columbus are Gators today. We'll all move to Starkville tomorrow morning.
