As I'm sure many of the other members of this virtual Gator family can attest, there is something about living in enemy territory (Tallahassee for Mark, me, Leon, and Paula) that makes the Gator bond even stronger. One funny thing about living out of state is that I appreciate seeing fans of other SEC schools -- and I've seen my attitude reciprocated from UGA Dawgs, LSU fans, and many others. Living in Big 12 country, we believe these locals just don't know what REAL football is like. In fact, we have an SEC picnic before the start of the football season, which is usually very well attended. My LSU co-worker reported that, although quite small (6 people), the Vanderbilt contingent was the most impressive, as they had the best array of libations. :-) Please note, that the goodwill I feel toward SEC fans in Austin, I would not feel for fsu fans.
