You all know that I'm into having fun as much as anyone on this list, but there
is absolutely nothing funny about this situation.  I learned that when Paula
told me so right after I laughed when she read to me that he was found asleep
at the wheel at a traffic light outside my favorite Publix.  My attitude has
been adjusted.

Loud verbal commands?? What is loud? Subjective, I bet. Police says car in
gear—his word—I’m betting it was an automatic and anyone knows they roll when
you’re not firmly pressing the brake pedal. Of course, some have a weird knack
of maintaining pressure on the brake pedal while sleeping. I’m not sure we can
believe the police report that the car was running. It’s all too
convenient---that and the officer is from Birmingham.
