Regarding James:
James version is - He was locked up in a tiny closet and shed and held there by guards
others - supposedly including his position coach - described James as arrogant, elitist, spoiled, brat - thinks the world should evolve around him
some are saying that James is whining because he is not treated like a star
Regarding Mike Leach
James said he had a concussion - so doctor and trainers took him to a dark room. (people with concussions are suppose to stay in dark rooms, away from light?). Closest dark room was a garage 30 or so feet from practice field. "The guards" were actually team medical trainers that were there to help him, monitor him, and check on him every 10 to 15 minutes. This was the "tiny cramped" shed - actually a large garage where practice equipment for the football team is stored, with ice, water, etc.
The tiny, cramped electrical closest - was actually the media room. Again dark room, trainers there to check on him every 10 to 15 minutes.
TV station showed these rooms.
Mike Leach's position was that he was not going to let one player dictate how his team was going to be run. If you lose control of the team to a player - you might as well move on
Mike Leach's position is that he did what doctors and trainers said to do for a concussion
Regarding Texas Tech
Supposedly they have been after Mike Leach since last year's contract negotiations. Mike Leach running his mouth a few times this season does not reflect well on university. Mike leach was given an opportunity to apologize to the James family - and refused.
The team is not talking much - sounds like feedback from team is mixed.
Sounds like the students and fans of Texas Tech are on Mike Leach's side.
Its a three ring circus.
Sounds to me that Texas Tech, and its fans, are the big loser here. Sounds like Texas Tech will be sued b the James family and Mike Leach, lose their best coach in decades, and the media fallout is not in their favor.
I know that Cee is not on Mike Leach's side :-)
So who and what do you believe?
