We signed 5 OL last year (Nixon, Alajajian, Halapio, Harrison, Koehne). This year maybe a case where the coaches feel they can be selective with the OL position.
Zeb, I have a theory on why UF has what appears to be a disproportionate amount of DB. Special teams and versatility. DBs combination of size and speed, particularly this year, translates well for special team positions as well as other positions such as LB and WR. If you look at the size of the players committed at the LB, DB, and S positions, they are all about 6' 200lbs and run 4.4 - 4.6 40"s. A great skill set for coverage teams. Meanwhile, Van and Haden have been mentioned as potential LB's and Dowling, I think it was him, as a WR. I know that you don't have to recruit a player for every position every year, but I am very surprised about 1 OL in a position that has 5 spots and 8 (now 7) for a position that has 4 spots. Further, in general, it takes longer for an OL to mature to SEC level of play, while a CB can often step in as a Freshman or Sophomore, so the recruiting should be based less on immediate need and more on planning for the future.
