Qualifying for Bright Futures and earning admission to UF are worlds apart. If the writer that linked those together in the first quote thinks otherwise, that's just sloppy reporting. Of course, if it's assumed that he will have the same admissions bar to hurdle that other scholarship football players do, and not the general student population, then I would agree that his "qualification", if not his "admission" is indeed just a formality.
