Woody,
I have been perplexed by this as well. I clearly remember that the coach that replaced Drayton fundamentally changed the way the backs were supposed to carry the ball so that they were less likely to fumble. I also remember that Drayton took some shots at Urban Meyer and his offense when he went to Tennessee-particularly as the offense pertained to running backs. However, the above being said, you have to admire Urban Meyer for bringing him back assuming that he was the best coach for the job. I am not so sure that I would have been that forgiving. Also, as I read Drayton's remarks, I sensed that he may have had some significant remorse for leaving based upon his comment that he found out that the grass was greener at Florida and not on the other side of the hill. Didnt we have all kinds of problems with RBs hanging on to the ball. we bring Carter in. and thats mostly corrected... didnt Drayton leave shortly before Urban was gonna let him go anyway? -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us
