The immediate question stares out at us and asks, who in their right
mind would want to watch video of this? Would they let their children
watch it? Would one discuss it around the coffee urn the next morning
before lunch? Lastly does this point out from whence we've come as
humanity or where we're headed?

No one should want to. However, that is the age we live in. Has anyone
stumbled across TMZ by accident on the TV?

In fairness, the video series "Faces of Death" dates back to the 80s,
and the Romans had some pretty twisted views on entertainment, so maybe
this is not a new phenomenon.
