Read Robbie Andreu's article about this, it really does a great job of breaking this down for those of us who only get part of the quotes. Meyer was talking about Thompson. Evidently, the entire quote had Thompson praising Tebow, but talking about from a WR POV that it was exciting to think about Brantley chucking the ball deep. As a side note/question - It makes me wonder if we are moving away from a run first offense? Any way... Thompson was tore up about his remark being taken out of context (remember Spikes and his reaction to the media doing this to him?), and Meyer was coming to his defense. This whole thing really had nothing to do with Tebow at all. I found Andreu's blog report to be great and now we can all just move on! :-)
