Subject: [gatortalk] Fw: [gatornews] Rutgers guard Rosario transferring to
Florida

I see that Shipman article is already starting to pay dividends.

----------
Rosario, the first McDonald's All-American to sign with Rutgers, told the
Newark Star-Ledger he planned to transfer to UF.
"It's a great school, a great atmosphere and a great college town," he said.
"It was really what I was looking for. The biggest thing Florida offered me
was '[I'm] going to [score].' "

The Florida men's basketball team has received some good news on
strengthening its backcourt depth but it won't help for a year.

Mike Rosario, a guard from Rutgers, has decided to transfer to Florida,
multiple sources told The Sun on Sunday.

Rosario, the first McDonald's All-American to sign with Rutgers, told the
Newark Star-Ledger he planned to transfer to UF.

"It's a great school, a great atmosphere and a great college town," he said.
"It was really what I was looking for. The biggest thing Florida offered me
was 'We're going to win.' "

Rosario averaged 16.7 points per game for the 15-17 Scarlet Knights in
2009-10. Rosario played at historic St. Anthony's High School in Jersey
City. He was released from his Rutgers scholarship on Thursday and visited
Gainesville on Friday before returning home Sunday night.

Florida is still hoping to sign two more players - a guard and a forward -
to add to the 2010 class that includes Patric Young and Casey Prather.
