I admit I haven't been keeping up with this series but my first thought upon
reading this nearly multi paragraph long analysis was "Robbie are sure you
could spare the time?"

2009 record: 7-6 overall, 3-5 in the SEC (T-4th in the East).

The upside: Coming out of the spring, the Wildcats feel they have three
quarterbacks who can play - Mike Hartline, Morgan Newton and Ryan
Mossakowski. They all did some good things in the spring and were effective
moving the offense. They will carry their battle for the starting role into
fall drills. ... The strength of the offense appears to be the ground game,
led by star tailback Derrick Locke and promising newcomer Donald Russell.
... The Wildcats have been one of the SEC's poorest tackling teams in recent
years. In an attempt to improve tackling, the Wildcats did a lot of
full-contact work for the final two weeks of spring.

The downside: The Wildcats will enter fall drills still not knowing who
their quarterback is. Hartline has a huge edge in experience, but he failed
to separate himself from Newton and Mossakowski like many thought he would.
... UK has four new starters on the offensive line, and the inexperienced
showed at times, especially in pass protection, which was not very
consistent.

Spring star: Russell capped his breakout spring with a 70-yard TD run in the
spring game. He's a big-time home-run threat.

Outlook: The Wildcats have enough players, especially on offense, to
continue their recent run of success and play a role in the Eastern Division
race.
