No.  TN doesn't issue tags that way.  It's issued to the owner not the vehicle, 
so the sticker corresponds to when you registered the vehicle.  If he sells his 
truck, the license plate doesn't go with the truck like it does in some 
states.  

I wonder who has numbers 1-4.  I'll bet Larry Vito has a low one!  

To answer Tammy's question:  To get a Gator tag in TN, you go to your county 
clerk's office and pay an extra $35 optional tag fee and they will give you 
one.  The optional fee is on top of your state wheel tax and whatever extra 
your county charges.  It's payable every year you keep the tag.
