Umm, not so fast my friend...

Our pitching was 4th in the SEC in ERA.  5th in opponent's batting average.

Our total number of runs scored?  11th.

Our total number of hits?  12th.

On base percentage?  10th.

RBIs?  11th.

Total bases?  9th.

I would say that pitching absolutely saved our butts this year!  Cause
it certainly was NOT the bats or offensive production...

Subject: [gatortalk] Gators struggle

Pitching, that has been a team strength all season, has struggled as UF trails
LSU 7-1 after only 4 innings.  Allowing 5 runs on 5 hits in the 2nd, Johnson
led off with a double, scoring on a sacrifice infield hit.  After getting 3
straight outs in the 3rd, Johnson allowed 2 runs in the 4th.  He was replaced
by DeSclafani after 2 outs.
