If you look at the defensive side of the ball - We have some incredible studs coming in at DT and DE. There might be some good, older, DLmen that get pushed down to 2nd string by true freshmen. Then again, they rotate a lot - so hard to say who is 1st and 2nd on DL. Ronald Powell is such a stud - I think you have to find a spot for him at one of the defensive ends.
LBers are so loaded - hard to say who is first string and second string. Beal transferred out.
DBs - I doubt any incoming freshman replaces the three starters - but we got some major studs for DBs this year. One will start at CB and Elam will start at the nickel (where Will Hill started). Next year Ahmad Black, Will Hill, and Janoris Jenkins may all be gone
OL - hard for a stud true freshman to come in and take over - but Xavier Nixon did it last year - and at the left tackle position (one of the hardest positions on the OL).
I think the WRs are too stacked for a new guy to come in and take over. But Dunkley is suppose to be awesome. Don't know if he can be another Debose or Harvin or not?
At RB, I think Gillislee can take over for Moody. Mack Brown - don't know what his status will be till fall practice starts. First case - he might not even make it into Florida over grades / tests. Second case - he might get in but have injured hamstrings - ala Debose. Third - can he learn the plays and blocking? Fourth case - all of those are no problem and he becomes our starter. A lot to overcome.

Man! I suppose as a head coach or a WR coach that sure is a great position to be in.

He is great - just not tough enough yet. And a ton of talent ahead of him. Give him another year and I think he will be seeing the field.
You're right he is a "diamond in the rough". He's already come a long ways.
We have a problem that the guys coming in now are so talented - high 4 star players like Brendan Beal are transferring out.

I remember he was completely overlooked out of high school. We may find out why.
I was just hoping he would turn out to be a great find.

I think that Alli will be late second string, possibly third string. Great athletically and huge target. Knock on him is his lack of durability (he was out the second half of spring practice).
I figure Deonte Thompson, Carl Moore, and Rainey or Debose are first string
Omarius Hines, Frankie Hammond, Justin Williams, and Rainey or Debose are second string
Alli and TJ Lawrence maybe in that second string group - possibly third string
With all of this talent and Chris Dunkley, a five star WR coming in - does he crack the second string?
Deonte was five stars in 2007
Carl Moore was five stars in 2008
Debose five stars in 2009

I hope he has a good year. How do you pronounce his name, Ali, like Mohammad or Ally, like the good guys in WWII?
