I would favor Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State. Add them to
LSU, Mississippi, and MSU, and Alabama for the West, the rest for the east.

The problem with any 16 league team is that you could play only one team
from the other division in any given year. The one team would have to be on
an 16 year rotation with playing them twice in the 16 years.

I have changed my mind about F$U and even Miami. F$U adds nothing to the
SEC. Miami would add a major Hispanic TV market but I am not thrilled with
having such a poorly attended team.

Interestingly, I would argue that Miami made a grave mistake giving up on
the Big East. They were able to recruit the Northeast. Since they lost the
TV coverage in the Northeast, their recruiting has gone south.

If we stuck with only Texas and Texas A&M, an interesting pick might be Duke
and NC. It would completely change the SEC basketball program and it would
add Charlotte's TV market.

We would need atleast one more for the east, NC maybe or Clemson is my
guess. Wont be FSU or UM

Unless the SEC gets Texas, I am not interested in expansion and hope it

This is kind of the way I see it, because you know that the SEC is going to
do something. I think ESPN will be behind the realignment but not sure
about adding FSU and/or Miami but what about Oklahoma? You talk about some
tough games! But will be great to see! Fran

then adds Miami and Florida State from the east. It's that simple. And if
ESPN is smart, which it is, they'll demand this, broker this and help get it
done. In adding all of the football powers from Texas and Florida to your
league, you lock down the country's two most influential football states and
then let the rest of the college football fight for the scraps"
