A lot of people -- most of whom were looking to excuse or rationalize their own lack of activity -- took a kind of perverse pleasure in not just his death, but how he died. Fixx obviously exercised a great deal, but according to what I read, he thought exercise alone was sufficient to ensure a healthy life. An autopsy reportedly revealed that his coronory arteries had blockage of 95, 85, and 50 percent. So, all I am saying to Oliver (who I assume was joking anyway about eating "all the dessert you want" if you run) is: I love your sense of humor and reading your posts every day, and hope to keep reading them for years to come.
