AMEN, Brother Steve! I started following the Gators in 1971 when my family moved to Gainesville. Since then, the whole family has received a complete transfusion so that we all bleed orange and blue. My children don't know what it's like not to be Gators, and I hope they never find out (although my daughter is calling herself a Montana Grizz these days, she's still a Gator, too).
What a long, strange trip it's been. I don't usually love Pat Dooley's writing, but this one was fun to read... well, except the parts that were painful to read and remember. All those character building years... whew. I think we have plenty of character now (especially Leon, Randy and Jay ;-)). Let's have some FUN! GO GATORS!
