Hill was involved in an incident which could have led to criminal charges being filed against him. It was a situation where there was just enough doubt that prosecuting him for it would have been iffy, so an arrangement was worked out that avoided him being arrested. There has been a lot of speculation that he hasn't been going to class, that he may have been at the infamous South Beach party this past summer, etc. But my co-worker is the parent of the person on the other side of this dispute, so I had privy to all of the unsettling details. We were wondering if he'd be suspended over this since it was never publicly announced. I believe that Coach Meyer doesn't want to drag these guys' names through the mud if it can be avoided, but I'm proud of the fact that he still made him pay the price for, at the very least, having a severe lapse of judgment. I'd imagine that the fact that he's slated to travel with the team means that his suspension is up, but his reported Facebook comments (along the lines of "I can't wait to get out of Gainesville) were either Rainey-esque stream of consciousness venting, or indicative of a poor attitude.
