On the third Saturday in September 2006, we came from behind to beat UT
by
one point (21-20) in Knoxville. Not very impressive, but remember how our
season ended? By destroying Ohio State 41-14 for the National
Championship.
A little trivia: Our 31 points in Knoxville this past Saturday was the
most
points scored by an opponent in Neyland Stadium since 1996.

Oh come on now, you are offended by someone saying entitlement Gator?? I
think it was incredibly offensive for Scott to put words in my mouth and
say
everyone on the list feels the way he does. I also believe many Gator
fans
feel entitled. My goodness, we went into that game expecting it to be
close
and while we made it closer than it should have been, we still won an
away
SEC game by 14 points! And we suck...
While this team and coaches have a ways to go to be operating at peak
efficiency, they are doing quite well given all the mistakes that are
being
made. I have watched a lot of football these past 3 weeks and there
isn't
a
team out there that we can't beat. Of course, there are many teams that
we
could lose to as well. This team reminds me of Alabama last year. They
struggled early in games against inferior opponents, but eventually put
it
altogether to finish the season incredibly strong.
We have that same opportunity, but the play calling does need to improve
and
the players need to stop making mistakes.
But, even if we make no improvement, I only see one sure loss and that is
at
Bama. USC will be tough, but I think we have the run defense to stop
Lattimore and Garcia won't beat us in the air. LSU? Nope, too
inconsistent.
Ugh? Nope, the are done. KY, Vandy, MS State? Nope. F$U, not on your
life.
We are a very good football team that everyone thinks is a finesse team
when
we are not. We do need to find an identity on offense, the dive play was
great to set up a Tebow run, but is ineffective to set up a Brantley
option
pitch.
At this point in the young season, there are only 33 undefeated teams and
80
have already lost at least once. If we were VaTech or Ole Miss, then we
would have something to complain about! Stay strong, remember in all
kinds
of weather, and right now the weather is pretty good at 3-0.

Hmm... "entitlement Gator fans" is awfully strong comment when you dont
really know that person. Id be careful using that reference again in the
future.
And this will be my last reply on this list.

There is a noticable difference in attitude between us older

enjoy everything that makes up a college football season because their
team can't meet their unrealistic standards.
Go Gators...in all kinds of weather.

You can't speak for everyone on the list, Scott. I'm not
particularly disappointed in this team. It's about what I was
expecting after the high-flying we've done over the past few years.
I'm willing to be satisfied
with their performance so far because my expectations were realistic,
IMO.

Agreed. And there is not a single person on this list who is not a
little
disappointed in this team so far.
We are lucky to be undefeated. 'Bama is going to kick our a$$es....

Neither can Demps. 26 for 73 yards???? Let's keep running him
between the tackles...
What you got for that?

This is NOT a good gator team. PERIOD!
Supposed to have a great passer in brantley and he is bush league
so far at best... throwing high and behind.
Supposed to be loaded at playmakers... no one going deep, no one
making plays. We dink and dunk and stay afloat.
Supposed to have all these weapons but our offensive coordinator
appears INEPT at using them!
Supposed to have a great defense but TWO blown coverages for long
touchdowns!!!!
This is a team that is ripe for letting us all down! We are no
better than Oregon and are lucky to be in the top 20 with these
performances... we will lose spots in the tankings for the third
straight week-- this is NOT a Gator team we are used to yet since
about 1991 or the Zook years. Coaching looks horrible.
