I have been reluctant to weigh in on this thread. Steve, you point is well taken, especially you last point about people's approach and attitude being unique to them. I would add that their opinion is just as valuable as anyone else's. I also would remind people that we are (hopefully) different than many other Gator forums in that we are more civil to each other. There are a few members of this list serve that I have strong disagreements with, particularly on some other non-sports related issues. That does not preclude me being civil, respecting their opinions, and even liking them as a person. My own sister drives me crazy on some issues that she seems to have drank the kool-aid. I still love her and value her as a person. I feel the same about some of my long-term friends on this list-serve.
I would add that I think since most of us have been here a long time, we have "earned" the right to be given a little grace from time to time. Sometimes we write (say) something that has too sharp of an edge and results in some hurt feelings. We need to be cut some slack. We are still family, no matter how crazy we may drive each other. Likewise, we need to cut others some slack when our feathers are ruffled. Peace be with you all my friends, Jerry -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Steve McKibben Sent: Monday, September 20, 2010 10:41 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [gatortalk] Take off your orange and blue glasses For the record, "in unison" is likely just as inaccurate as "not a single person on this list". Everyone's approach and attitude to watching and "enjoying" the Gators play is unique to them. There are some whose opinions more closely match yours than others, and as much as I disagree with some of the opinions expressed from time to time, they are completely valid to those that hold them. --- On Mon, 9/20/10, Randy Lyons <[email protected]> wrote: > > ...and the congregation clapped their > hands and replied in unison "AMEN!". > -----Original Message----- > From: Ken Kirkley > Sent: Monday, September 20, 2010 10:05 AM > Uhm, and I quote: > > "Agreed.
