I am reminded of something Meyer said in one of the recent post game press conference. That being that every pass play called has long, intermediate and short routes and that it is the qb's responsibility to deliver the ball to the receiver who is open. So that in my mind begs the question is Brantley not seeing the deep receiver as being open. Now he may not being seeing the deep receiver open b/c he lacks the experience or confidence to throw the ball to a spot trusting his receiver will be open or he doesn't have time because of OL issues. No answers just questions.

The BIG problem was that Brantley didn't stretch the field.Addazio simply kept it short and intermediate in the passing game. And that played into 'Bama's game plan.Bama just pinned their ears back and put pressure on EVERY down since they needn't worry about a deep pass or a ground attack. If Mallet was able to go deep with some success,WHY didn't the coaching staff take advantage?? Furthermore,Meyer and the offensive unit TELEGRAPH plays! They've been doing it ever since Meyer took over, but this is ridiculous!EVERYONE in the stadium,on TV and elsewhere KNEW that jump pass was coming;and you allow a FRESHMAN to run it on FOURTH DOWN?? A non effective ground game sank us as well as the turnovers.I know Demps was hurt, but Moody hasn't exactly lit up the field. We don't have ANYONE who can tote the ball for a couple of yards??Let's not forget a rather POROUS offensive line AND Pouncey's snap problems.... Defensively, the staff STILL HASN'T LEARNED to place a 'spy' on McElroy--he certainly had some nice Gatorless stretches of field at times.Hopefully, this loss will wake up the team and staff and remind them of just how they got to be champions.....
